According to Wikipedia, a podcast is a series of digital media files (either audio or video) that are released episodically and often downloaded through web syndication. The word usurped webcast in common vernacular, due to rising popularity of the iPod and the innovation of web feeds.
Two of my classmates, Amy and Kim, and I had the opportunity to work together on making a podcast using Apple's Garage Band Application. On our podcast, we read the book The Train Song by Diane Sebert. We also included sound clips and other audio to enhance the podcast. Although it's strange to hear my own voice on the computer, the project was a lot of fun. I think that this would be a great project for older students. It is a great way to help students express themselves in a creative, unique way.
